Personal Training In A Group Setting

There are countless benefits to working out with a personal trainer. People of any age and experience level can see better results and live a healthier lifestyle. A personal trainer will help create a unique workout plan to fit your individual needs and goals, and can accommodate an injury or other obstacle that might otherwise prevent you from exercising. There’s more to a personal trainer than simply getting an exercise prescription or having a friendly face in the gym. A good, qualified personal trainer provides you with the accountability to keep up your fitness endeavors and transform your approach to training and exercise.

With internet access, you can learn anything on your own these days. You can even follow workout programs designed by pros for free. However, all the knowledge in the world only get you so far if you don’t stick to the program on your own or know how intensely you should work out in the gym.

SHIFT by Dana Perri has created an environment of personal training in a group setting, where you can have your needs met as an individual as well as having the support and accountability of working out with a like minded group of people. Each SHIFT class is structured to allow modifications for a higher or lower level of intensity without interrupting the flow of the class. Our instructors are highly trained to focus on each person on their fitness journey and get to know their strengths and weaknesses. We know when to push the clients harder and when to hold back. We offer 3 levels of SHIFT classes on our schedule, but each one can be modified to meet the needs of any fitness level.

SHIFT Basic –  A modified version of SHIFT (see below), this low impact class focuses on proper form, building strength and heart-lung conditioning. Great for those who are new to SHIFT or any fitness regimen.

SHIFT – A high-energy, lower impact, full-body interval training class that combines aerobic (cardiovascular training) and anaerobic exercises (resistance training). With light weights, resistance bands, and weighted medicine balls, this class helps to create a lean and toned look, improve heart-lung fitness, and target fat loss.

Power SHIFT –  A newly innovative workout intended to shock the body head-to-toe. Whether you’re someone looking to lean out or build strength and power, this is the class for you. Combining the proven science of interval circuit training, Power SHIFT is all performed on our unique spring floor. In less than an hour, using varying levels of medicine balls and bands, this class will have you dripping with sweat, burning more calories and giving you the full body tone you have always desired.

Our workouts rely on equipment like resistance bands, medicine balls and hand weights but especially our Olympic spring floor which destabilizes and challenges your muscles as well as providing cushion for joints and injury prevention.
